China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival Opens Today

The biannual China Goldeneagle TV Art Festival will kick off in Changsha in south China's Hunan province tonight.

Wang Han will replace original host Li Xiang and team up with Yang Nan to lead the opening ceremony. The Super Voice Girl champions from 2006 and 2005, Shang Wenjie and Li Yuchun, will join up for the first time to perform a duet on stage.

The Golden Eagle Prizes are most prestigious awards Chinese TV dramas and series can receive. They will be given out on Sunday night after ordinary viewers have placed their votes for the prizes, which include the Most Favorite TV Actor and Actress Awards. 　　

A number of concerts, seminars and program exchanges between local and overseas TV organizations will also be held over the course of the 3 day event.
