Zhao Chuan Sings Classic Songs to Promote Beijing Concert
2006-7-18 13:43:04      crienglish.com

Chinese singer Zhao Chuan attended a press conference Monday for his solo concert titled "Inspiring Song" in Beijing at the Exhibition Center on September 8 and 9.

The veteran star was so happy yesterday, he answered all questions from the media on the spot and performed two classic songs to the delight of his fans. Zhao Chuan said at the promotional event he would sing some old songs, including "New Endless Love" and the Guangxi folk song "The Song from the Heart."

He said he would also perform new songs at the Beijing concert but the costumes will not be so shiny, and guest performers have not yet been determined.

Zhao Chuan can be regarded as an old friend to Beijing fans. In 1990, he held three charity concerts in Beijing at the Workers' Stadium for the Beijing Asian Games.

In the next two years, he came to Beijing frequently, so people called him the "Ambassador of Beijing Pop Music."
