Jackie Chan: Asia Pacific Tourism Ambassador

Jackie was in Macau on June 13th for his inauguration as the World Tourism Organization's first Asia Pacific Tourism Ambassador. At the ceremony, Jackie promised to do his best to achieve the tasks he'd been given. Jackie's role as Ambassador is to promote tourism as a key industry in the Asia-Pacific area.

After accepting the Ambassadorship, Jackie headed back to Hong Kong to attend a reception at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he is an Honorary Professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University's School of Hotel and Tourism Management. At the ceremony, Jackie was welcomed by PolyU President Professor Poon Chung-kwong, Professor Amy Chan, and Ms. Dan Wang. The topic of Jackie's lecture was "My Love of Movies and Tourism." After speaking, Jackie conducted a Q & A with students and was given several gifts.
